Crash-Tested Dog Car Harness
This crash-tested dog car harness keeps you and your pup safe while driving. It has been designed as a dog safety harness, not a converted walking harness. The all-steel Nesting Buckle System is based on the engineering for harnesses used by rock climbers and linesmen ensuring strength and safety.
With five adjustments points, it’s easy to get a near custom fit for any dog, regardless of size and proportions. The chest pad reduces stress on the trachea and sternum while dispersing kinetic energy across the chest of the dog. This is important during those rare, but dangerous impact crashes.
Because it’s designed with comfort in mind, our Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Harness can also be used as a no-pull walking harness. There’s a halt ring on the front chest plate. If your pup tries to pull, it will just turn him around effectively training him that pulling will get him nowhere!
For maximum crash protection, dogs should be buckled in with your car seatbelt running through the back of the harness directly. If your dog cannot tolerate this level of restraint, you can also use the included 10-inch dog seat belt tether to provide a bit more range of movement.
Measure chest and neck to determine harness size. The fit should be snug but not restrictive.
The Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Smart Harness with steel Nesting Buckles has been tested in the following ways:
Crash test videos are available here and depict a 35lb dog traveling at 30 miles per hour, recorded at an accredited University test facility using Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 213 for child restraint systems. The unrestrained black and white dog is for comparison purposes, these are toy dogs weighted for the test - no animals were used in this video.
Direct to Seat Belt Tether: This dog seat belt attaches to your dog’s harness with a carabiner and clicks directly into the female slot of any car’s seat belt, making it quick and easy to restrain your pup to avoid distracted driving.
Swivel Tether: Our strongest tether system, featuring a carabiner used by arborists. Its swivel action also makes it harder for those escape artist pups to get free from their restraint or twist their seat belt tether.

Its made very well for car harness and seatbelt. I don't use it for a walk. She doesn't like it. She knows when I put it on to go for a car ride or a long ride. I am very pleased to use it for my car. This is mine 3rd one. I have used it when she was a puppy. I do highly recommend for car harness. It's very safe.

This is the best harness ever. It is crash test approved and fits great. My boys love it, we travel for 10 to 12 hours at a time and he is comfortable the whole time. He sees the harness come out and totally is beside himself with excitement. I can't say enough good, and I love the customer service.

I started looking for a car harness when I was planning a 10 hour drive with my dog. I originally tried the adventure harness, but because he's super tall and gangly, neither the medium nor the large fit him correctly. Jo Ann in customer service was a huge help and suggested this harness because it has more points of adjustment to help make a better fit.
He loves putting it on because he knows it means its time for a walk or car ride. He's much better behaved on walks with it, and sits super nicely in the car now that he's all safely strapped it. It's held up really well over the last year or so, and I'm really glad I purchased it. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a car harness.
