Chester Natives Invent Overalls for Your Tires

By Wes Hunter

Chester, VT -- Motivation Design of Brooklyn, NY, a company founded by Chester natives Kitter and Gordon Sapper, have introduced a new product, the Seasonal Tire Tote, an invention that allows vehicle owners to easily transport winter tires, keep clean and organize the garage.

It happens twice a year and like drivers in the snow belt attest - it’s a bummer - bringing tires to the mechanic to put on the correct seasonal tires.

After years of hauling their parents’ tires down from the garage and throwing them in the back of the family wagon, the Spater brothers, sons of Tory Spater and the late Tom Spater, solve the problem.

No more rolling, bracing reaching, and plastic bagging and six months of road grime on their hands, pants and inside of the family car, the Seasonal Tire Tote evolved after two and a half decades and many tire changes.

Seasonal Tire Totes ultimately take the hassle out of changing snow tires. A heavy-duty nylon shell with an easy-to-carry handle slips over the tires to protect users and their vehicles from tire residue. In their Totes, tires stay neatly covered and stacked until the next season rolls around.

The Seasonal Tire Tote fits tire sizes from 22” to 31” in diameter, allowing them to be easily used with most passenger vehicles.

The durable construction and rugged materials make it capable of carrying weights of over 80 pounds.

Ryan Meers, one of the Motivation Design partners and head of engineering, explains that the product is constructed of a 600 denier ballistic and rip-stop PVC coated nylon, so it is extremely durable, water-resistant and machine-washable.

“These are the same materials that are used to make ski clothing and camping equipment, it is very strong stuff” Meers explained.

The suggested retail price for a pair of Seasonal Tire Totes is $19.95 and is being distributed locally in Ludlow at Benson's Chevrolet, NAPA on Main Street, Chester Travel in Chester and on their website: www.TireTote.com

Fashionable Tire

By Lowell Conn/ Special Report: Driver's Edge

Toronto, Ontario -- These days, there seems to be a vogue new carrying case to accessorize almost everything. So why not tires? Aren't the very accoutrements that keep your car on the road worthy of a little love? Thankfully, this market void has been filled by Motivation Design's Tire Tote, a polyester-and-nylon bag that fits around the tire and helps consumers to avoid getting covered in grease and grime when lugging around their rubbers. Machine-washable and built with long-lasting construction, the Tire Tote features a soft handle for easy lifting and carrying. Draped by the tote, the tire admittedly looks fashionable. And we can see this product empowering drivers to stow their winter tires rather than hand them over to mechanics for storage. Let's just hope that recent start-up Motivation Design sells a bundle of these before outfits such as Roots start getting into the action. US$19.95; visit www.tiretote.com for more information.
