Ecommerce Coordinator - Full Time role starting immediately

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented person to assist our Ecommerce team in growing sales for online only accounts like Amazon US/Canada/Europe, Chewy.com, and others. This is an entry-level position with a great opportunity to learn online marketing, ecommerce, and how a brand can succeed working with Amazon and other online marketplaces. Strong preference for a native German speaker. All work must be done onsite in Salisbury, MA (about 50 minutes North of Boston)

Responsibilities

  • Optimize listings on websites that sell Kurgo product, including Amazon.com, Chewy.com, Auto Anything, Petco.com, and Petsmart.com. This includes maintaining product catalog by improving product descriptions, or making them SEO optimized, as well as updating pricing, photos, videos, and infographics.
  • Assist in launching Kurgo on Amazon Europe properties with a focus on Amazon UK, France, and Germany.
  • Assist in launching Kurgo on other online only pet retailers in Europe like Zoo Plus
  • Research current market trends, identify areas of opportunity to grow sales, and collaborate with Ecommerce Manager to develop marketing strategies for Ecommerce accounts
  • Monitor, analyze and report on Amazon.com PPC advertising, competitor trends, and sales trends; derive insights, and provide recommendations to marketing team
  • Keep Kurgo.com product listings updated and optimized to grow sales
  • Assist with monitoring and enforcing the Kurgo Minimum Advertised Price Policy (MAPP) by leveraging reporting platform to identify and contact violators as well as research companies who are unauthorized and listing on Amazon.com.

 Requirements

  • Solid quantitative and research skills, with experience in data interpretation, and an aptitude for learning. If you don't feel comfortable with arithmetic and algebra, this isn't the role for you.
  • Advanced data manipulation skills in MS Excel. Must know basic functions like SUM, SUMIF, and COUNTIF. Experience with VLOOKUP and pivot tables preferred but can be taught.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to problem solve and manage time effectively
  • Ability to take initiative on self-driven projects with little guidance from manager
  • Comfortable with technology. Are you the type of person who can 'figure it out' when using a new Microsoft program rather than taking classes?
  • Extremely organized with attention to detail
  • Native German speaker preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 0-1 years of analytical or digital marketing experience

Spring Internship - Ecommerce Marketing Intern

This is internship starts in January 2018 and continues for 12 weeks. All work must be done onsite in Salisbury, MA (about 50 minutes North of Boston). Compensation is $12/hour.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize listings on websites that sell Kurgo product, including Amazon.com, Chewy.com, Auto Anything, Petco.com, and Petsmart.com. This includes updating product descriptions or making them SEO optimized as well as updating pricing, photos, videos, and infographics.
  • Conduct analysis of effectiveness and profitability of PPC advertising on Amazon.com
  • Update sales forecasts by month to monitor and manage inventory as well as identify areas of opportunity to grow sales

 Spring Internship - Brand Marketing Intern

We are seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic dog lover to help with brand marketing efforts through social media, content marketing, and local events. Events start with dog-friendly running races in March, so the selected candidate will have to be available to work the weekends when we have events.

The successful candidate must be outgoing and confident enough to attend events on their own and represent the Kurgo brand. They may have to set up and take down the Kurgo display on their own. The successful candidate will also have strong social media skills and ability to take photos and videos at events to post to Kurgo’s social channels. 

This is internship starts in January 2018 and continues for 12 weeks. All work must be done onsite in Salisbury, MA (about 50 minutes North of Boston). Compensation is $12/hour.

Responsibilities

Event Planning/Execution

  • Research & identify events to connect with active dog owners that are consistent with the Kurgo brand strategy
  • Coordinate and manage the Kurgo Running Team, serving as their main contact person. Identify and register for road races appropriate for the team. Attend events with the team and create a team spirit and cohesion
  • Manage all logistics for events, such as event registration, putting together displays and products to bring to the event, pulling together giveaways and other marketing to be done at the event, organizing price tags & lists, scheduling staff, paying invoices, and any other details required.
  • Execute events including transporting event items, setting up displays, and breaking down displays
  • While at event, represent the Kurgo brand and engage with consumers getting them excited about the Kurgo Go Together lifestyle.
  • Answer product questions for consumers as well as size and fit dogs at the event for harnesses, backpacks and coats
  • Depending on the event, sell products at the event and meet sales goals. If the event does not have product to sell, gather as many email addresses from attendees as possible.
  • Create photos and videos that capture the Kurgo spirit at the events and post to social media to engage Kurgo fans
  • Report on event success, which could include the number of consumer interactions, the number of promo items handed out, product sales at event, number of emails collected and budget spent.

Content Development

  • Write blog posts for the Kurgo blog and partner blogs on topics related to being active with your dog
  • Take photos and short videos/boomerangs for Kurgo’s social media
  • Research topics and develop ideas for posting on Kurgo’s accounts for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat and Twitter
  • Assist with social media management, such as replying to customer posts and messages

Requirements

  • Positive, high energy individual who connects well with consumers and is not shy to engage event attendees in learning more about Kurgo. Prior event or brand ambassador experience a plus.
  • Strong writing skills. Please provide writing sample – lifestyle blog posts or journalism pieces preferred, but class essays also accepted
  • Extremely organized with attention to detail
  • Video and photography experience a plus
  • Creative problem solver who can handle last minute glitches with grace
  • 1-2 years in a customer-facing role, such as retail, food service or hospitality preferred. Pet industry experience a plus.
  • Comfortable being hands on with dogs. Experience with a shelter, vet, pet retail store, dog walking/pet sitting or other pet business a plus.
  • Must be working towards Bachelor’s Degree or completed Bachelor’s Degree
  • Availability to work 15+ hours per week
